Re: selenium, iodine, hashimoto

I know this is an old post, but having read through the links which are very informative they seem to be saying that hashimoto sufferers should take 200mcg selenium to lower antibodies which is good and I've been doing that for a long time, but there are a lot of references to only taking a low dose of Iodine (less than 500mcg a day) and also taking thyroid hormone to lower the TPO antibodies so it is not that straightforward. How much Iodine is too much is not mentioned, only hinted at that "high" Iodine will make hashi's worse. It is very frustrating not be get any clear information on this anywhere! A lot of the studies never mention whether the subjects were taking selenium or low on it.

So for anyone who might have the answers:
What TPO level is considered high enough to take thyroid hormone as 1 study refers to TPO needing to be over 300iu/ml to be valid for inclusion in their study?
What level of iodine intake is considered too high for hashimotos, all the studies I read seemed to be giving 150 - 250mcg as a maximum to avoid making the condition worse?
Is it necessary to take thyroid hormone if you have hashimotos with no symptoms to bring TPO levels down?
