How do you floss your permanent crowns? I am asking this question because I have been following the same pattern for several years. I believed that I have been doing it right. Last day, I consulted a hygienist from a dental clinic, which provides family dentistry services ( https://www.dentistoakville.com/services/family-dentistry/ ) in Oakville. She informed me that I was doing it wrong.
I floss around my permanent crowns by slipping the floss into the gum. Then, I clean them up and down along each tooth and slide it out. I was told not to floss backward as it could damage the crown and cause it to pop off. The hygienist told me that I am treating my permanent crowns like any other tooth.
Any of you that have permanent crowns, how do you floss? Please explain!
