Boy May Have Saved Great-Grandmother During Diabetic Attack
By Associated Press
A 6-year-old Tarboro boy may have saved his ailing great-grandmother with a simple treatment.
Jayquan Jenkins was visiting his great-grandmother last week when she had a diabetic attack. Jayquan found Ernestine Johnson lying on the floor and gave her a glass of orange juice.

Brenda Pearce, Johnson's daughter, says doctors said if it wasn't for Jayquan, Johnson could've died.

The 77-year-old Johnson has suffered from diabetes for more than 20 years. She takes insulin, but fell last week and couldn't get to it in time.

Emergency officials took Johnson to Heritage Hospital, where she was treated and released the same day.
