Mom diagnosed with cataract - Need advice for custom bladeless lasik!

I am writing this post for my mom. My mom is in her early 60's. A few years back she told me that she finds it very difficult to read and has got blurred vision too. I asked her to consult an ophthalmologist. But she never listened to me as she doesn't like going to the hospital and left it untreated. Her vision is getting worse each day. Now she is having difficulty in recognizing faces and watching movies. She needs my help to read books and even going from one room to another. Yesterday I compelled her and took her to an eye clinic. The doctor performed an eye test. After the checkup, he told that my mom is having cataract and it has developed in both of her eyes. He suggested her to undergo a cataract surgery which is the only solution to cure cataract. I was worried because I don't know how she will react to this. My mom is sensitive to pain. This is the first time I'm hearing about this. Is this surgery painful? Is there anyone here who had undergone this surgery before?
