And while you cleanse - read the archives - it is a mountain of valuable experience and information.
I find that the BIGGEST ingredient is mental clarity/resolve. Without it I cannot get past day one or two - with it I can go easily and happily to day 23 - so far, I plan on going further this time.
I find that having ANY kind of food makes for a miserable cleanse. Constant cravings for more food. I find that adding ANYTHING other than lemonade, water, mint tea and the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) makes for a TOTALLY different effect and result.
I find that for me a matching plain water chaser after the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) enables it to always work for me.
I find that I can only start withthe barest sprinkle of cayenne - but by the last days I am really loving the flavor and heat of it.
I find that I prefer the stronger taste and feeling of using half blackstap molasses with the grade B maple syrup.
I find that each and every cleanse has it's own little quirks and is a separate experience for me.. in other words.. Each cleanse may be different for you.
I find that I sleep better without the lax tea at night, so I often skip it. But I have fewer cravings the next day if I have it at night.
There is nothing strict about this cleanse or the people who do it.. the simple fact is this is The Master Cleanse.. if you add something to it, or take something away then you are doing a different protocal. Let yourself experience the simplicity and benefits of this cleanse as written. It has been tried and used for decades and is so simple and wholesome.. It might be best to NOT try and improve on something you have not faithfully tried.
I personally come here to discuss the lemonade, water, SWF, tea and cayenne... I am not at all interested in discussing bowel cleansing, herbs, other juices.. I am doing and want to talk about doing the
Master-Cleanse here. I am very interested in people's posts who are doing the
Master-Cleanse as written, their little tweaks and experiences and successes. (Somer is right.. I simply go to the other forums or hunt up discussions by googling the topic when I want to discuss other stuff - and I do skip reading the other kinds of threads here mostly.)
I am on day two and feeling a little cranky... lots of detox dreams. Otherwise, a normal cleansing day two so far.
