Dear Tom

God loves His "Danny Boy".
Natural man (a.k.a. primordial/primal man) was meant to live in a paradise (Garden of Eden), so, of course this world can't satisfy our intellect, the world is hardly even rational.
I heard someone else mention the book of Urantia. I haven't read any of it and don't have a clue as to what it says (thought it might be just another philosophy). I tend to be very snobbish, arrogant and possessive about the truth (John 14:6), but realize there are many "gaps" in our understanding of what God says and what He SAID more than two thousand years ago. In other words, the bible contains what He SAID in the context of ancient cultures, many people make the mistake of trying to apply EVERYTHING to modern culture (problematic). I view exploration of the truth as 'adventures with God'. We are each His 'Danny Boy' (dear son) if we choose Him as Father (many know Him as 'overseer', it's not completely different from the Pharisees, is it?), and any loving Father will enjoy watching their son grow.
Your refusal to fear God means that your love for Him is legendary. Many will walk in faith, but few will walk in love (see what I mean about arrogant, is this the spirit that yearns jealously over that which it has made [in us], or what?, James 4:5). Go, spread your wings and soar, seek the golden fleece, for whatever you need Him to be, He will be ("...that God may be everything to everyone" 1 Corinthians 15:28). Before I knew His name and His truth, I called Him "all wonder and beauty" (since childhood, He was my wildest dream).
Institutional Christianity has presented Him in such a partisan way (as though we should be like 'Boy Scouts'), that there is no passion, no REACHING for His touch (in Michael Angelo's painting on the Sistine Chapel, Adam is like most of us, not enthusiastically reaching for The Lord's touch). Admittedly, I became somewhat of a renegade from the institutional church in order to experience God more fully and have grown TREMENDOUSLY because of lack of indoctrination.
As soon as I get some sleep, I'm going to check out the websites mentioned (we can't close our eyes).
God Bless you and Godspeed in your quest for the truth.
