oh yeah that 555 is a workhorse, I still have some of Forest Mimms writings. All the Heathkit I have are amateur radio gadgets. Biomed Eng. is great, lots of electronics opportunities there. I really appreciate those little pulse oximeters, esp given the price of about $15 for some lower end models on amazon, etc. For that $15, look at what you get, wow. We talked about somethng like that back in undergrad around '86, but we have a lot more processing power now. I bet you could come up with some really great waveforms for a zapper-type device. There's been a lot of really cool advances in this field.
