Hello everyone! I am a first time poster here, so be patient with me. :) I have had symptoms of candida overgrowth for over 10 years now and had dozens of tests done growing up to find out what was wrong with me. Long story short, I got fed up with misdiagnosis and doctors saying I was making things up so I wrote this paper to better articulate what I was going through/went through to my doctor. I still am diagnosed but am looking to see a specialist soon. Any recommendations? Are neurologists good? Any advice? Has anyone been healed mainly by the help of a doctor or are most healing cases done by self-help? Here is the link to the paper I wrote. I took it to a gastrologist and he basically said candida isn't a real issue. I also had stool samples taken and tested for candida, they came up negative. How? I wasn't necessarily in a flare up but I thought it would still be detected.
