Can TMAU affect isolated areas?

Hi, could anyone please help me understand something about TMAU. My naturopath wants me to have a blood test for this condition in a bid to determine the cause of my armpit odor that won't quit. I was under the impression that TMAU doesn't restrict itself to just one part of the body? Does anyone know of anyone testing positive for the condition when armpits is their problem?
