Re: Question about low cortisol
A close female friend was semi disabled for decades with PTSD (anxiety, poor performance in stressful situations, etc) and low cortisol almost all day according to a 4x saliva cortisol. Almost all of her other related sex and adrenal hormones were low or low norm, even while taking 20mg pregnenolone and some other adrenal supplements daily.
In the Cutler detox groups I've seen reports that people were able to substantially reduce their dose of adrenal medication and supplements after years of detox. However those who need >25mg HC daily might never be able to eliminate it.
My friend's doctor just takes some HC on stressful days. It seems important for such people to be alert for days when they will need the extra "stress dose."
So my friend got some gains on support for a calmer mood and better intellectual ability in stressful situations:
5-7mg HC daily.
50+ mg pregnenolone, plus some progesterone and other creams
Magnesium--remember
Epsom Salt foot baths contain Mg and potentially calming sulfate.
GABA and or glutamine. Amino acids to support the brain's most important anti-anxiety neurotransmitter, GABA.
Vitamins C and B5 are among the most commonly mentioned vitamins for adrenals. I think zinc and not low iron are also important.
Low dose pregnenolone can help but won't replace more than a small dose of HC.

Direclabs and other companies have tests for preg.

Don't forget about DHEA--not abbreviated in the diagram above. You may benefit from a little of it too.
Learn about adrenal *cortex* glandular.
Do you have chemical sensitivities that cause you to not tolerate many foods, odors and supplements?
I suppose you know about meditation, listening to music you like, and other stress reducing techniques.
