How to test for candida?

How do i rule out if i have candida? the gp told me i get can get tested in a sexual health clinic.

So i called my local one and they said they don't test for candida and i can get an over the counter test from any regular pharmacy store.

The pharmacy stores only do a vaginal thrush kit. Would that work on my lips? I did the saliva test and it didn't float but it didn't look like any of the positive candida saliva tests. It was like 1 thick string from top to bottom so I'm not sure.

Could anyone point me in the right direction or even recommend me a store that sells a candida test for the lips (UK stores please)
