Re: Adrenals? Adisons disease? Adrenal inssuficiency?

Mainstream doctors, especially endocrinologists are less then worthless when it comes to non-life-threatening adrenal fatigue. They were for me and a close female friend. She also had low saliva cortisol almost all day and a list of matching symptoms as long as her arm.

After seeing her symptom cluster so often in the heavy metal detox support groups I got her to a Functional Medicine doctor. He did a 4x saliva cortisol and blood tests and prescribed low dose hydrocortisone on the basis of it.

She also had borderline low pregnenolone and responded surprisngly well to modest doses of it.

A FM doc or other semi-natural doc will be able to address so many of those symptoms. Unfortunately the doc won't be able to accept insurance. Obamacare or similar won't likely cover what you need. That's probably why your doctor did not treat you--and why a system with medical savings accounts will provide better health care. There is more patient freedom and less Big Pharma dominance.

Dont' forget to eventually consider the possible involvement of heavy metals, especially mercury. If you could add one mood problem--anxiety, intense mood, depression, etc and reduced intellectual ability to your list, you would have a very compelling list of chronic mercury symptoms.

You could check out the symptoms of this member of a detox support group.

There are >1000 hair tests plus symptom lists at this site used by detox group members.

Other people provide lists of symptoms that responded to detox here.
