Candidiasis without yeast infections, serious health disorders?

Can someone have candidiasis WITHOUT outward symptoms like yeast infections? Because i do not have this problem, but i've heard that most have an overgrowth of candida that can even become deadly. Most articles seem to include that its a yeast infection though. Is it possible for it to only reside in intestines, as ive heard it does, or heart or lungs? Im guessing its a pretty misunderstood health disorder? Also, what foods cause production of alcohol/ethanol and acetaldehyde?
