Re: How I recovered from IBS-C/SIBO

I put my full story here:
http://www.ibsgroup.org/forums/topic/327713-how-i-recovered-from-ibssibo/

Yes, I put iberogast in water, but it was still slightly irritating. I found things like slippery elm, fiber from dates, and serotonin precursors like 5-HTP to be more gentle for constipation.

I ate tons of cashew butter, but no bread. I didn't re-introduce wheat until around 6 months after taking a bunch of Antibiotics , and it was a painful and slow process. Wheat starches are very difficult to digest, and if your gut microbiota is out of balance starches will be basically poisonous. With that being said, I found carrots to be fine.

SIBO is definitely treatable, so keep working on it.
