Recurrent rashes on skin. What does this indicate?

For the last few months, once in every 2-3 weeks, I notice a rash on my body, often my arms.

Here are some pictures of the rash I got a week ago. It is still there, but 75% faded out. I am sorry I could not get a clearer picture. The rashes are darker than they appear in this picture, particularly in the first three days or so. They fade out completely in perhaps 10 days.

What health condition could this be pointing to? Externally the skin does not feel different from the areas where the rash is not there. It is not rough or anything of that kind.

Does this indicate parasites?

For 5 weeks I have been taking vidanga (embelia ribes), which is an ayurvedic herb for parasites. I haven't experienced any changes in my health, but twice I felt flu like symptoms for a day, and once I had stomach cramps for 3 days. I think these, particularly the flu, are likely to be die off symptoms.
