Just a little matter of concern here.

About kelp, it has no real roots, only something to hold onto the rocks, called holdfasts, according to "Kelp Forests - USF College of Marine Science". I cannot place URLS here as yet, sorry.

Also, irrelevant to this topic, but a bit worrisome, everything depends on plants, no matter what type, and if you never eat plants directly, you are eating an accumulation of whatever the animals you eat have taken from plants. Plus your diet does not sound balanced at all.
Hope I misread what you meant!
