Mesentery Painting/Ovarian Cyst Question

Hi!
Long time lurker, first-time writer here. I have a 4 cm complex ovarian cyst that I am desperately trying to shrink before a consult with a gyn/onc. Had a very low CA-125, which is encouraging...as much as that can be.
Anyway, I tried mesentery painting tonight for the first time...not 10 minutes later, I had a HUGELY sharp pain in the affected ovary that almost felt like a rupture. Coincidence, or did the Lugol's do something? It's about 90 minutes later, and I'm feeling a whole lot better.
