Evaluate the use of composite materials

The greatest advantage of composites is strength and rigidity combined with lightness. By choosing an appropriate combination of reinforcing material and matrix material, manufacturers can generate properties that exactly meet the requirements for a particular structure for a particular purpose.

Both the military and civilian modern aircraft are the best examples. Efficiency is very poor without a complex. In fact, the industry's demand for lightweight and strong materials was the main force to promote the development of composite materials. It is common to find wings and tail wings, propellers, rotor blades made of advanced composite materials and many of the internal structures and fittings. Smaller aircraft fuselage is made of composite material, as well as wing, tail, and body panels of large commercial aircraft.

When considering an airplane, it is necessary to remember that composite materials are unlikely to be totally destroyed by the stress (such as aluminum) being stressed. Small cracks in metal pieces spread very rapidly in very serious consequences (especially in aircraft). Fibers in the composite material act to block small crack propagation and share ambient stress. more:jiyu-acp
