Anyone in the Washington DC area want to join in a water fast?
Nothing on the East Coast, as far as I know, for supervised water fasting. I did a three week
Water Fast a few years ago. It was my first, and it was successful. All was resolved: weight, blood pressure, and so on. I've never been or felt better and more healthy than after that. After extensive research, I would love to attend TrueNorth, but traveling to Cali isn't practical. All I did last time was book an inexpensive hotel for three weeks and pushed through. Lots of lessons learned. But now, I've struggled to repeat because of modern distractions: It's too easy to break and order UberEats from delivery; television food commercials, Facebook venting stress promoting eating, and on and on and on. I need recommendations from someone who can relate, who has found a convenient place to escape to where perhaps Uber doesn't deliver, there aren't any small markets or convenience stores nearby in walking distance, no restaurants inside the building, or vending machines etc. We're too connected here in the DC area, and everything is so easily accessible. It's like my determination is stronger than ever, but not my willpower. Is there someone who is planning a
Water Fast who is perhaps removing all the food from their place to create a "poor man's TrueNorth" like I did years ago, who has a room that I can "airbnb" in for 21 to 30 days? We could be a support system to one another when feeling weak, tell jokes, whatever to help us get through. I'll not be working during this period, and dedicated to the experience just as I would at TrueNorth. I don't know what might be ideal other than to go camping somewhere without wifi etc. I can certainly leave my phone and computer and stay somewhere isolated without any access to the internet, but I wouldn't need to resort to that if I found a
Water Fasting buddy.
