Re: Corticosteroids/Hydrocortisone, Calendula Ointment/Gel, Gloves in a Bottle

Longterm, you only need to apply one coat and it should form a barrier that comes off by itself when the skin naturally exfoliates after a few weeks.
I get what you're saying, it's the same thing that's happening to me right now when I apply the product. It doesn't form the barrier anymore like it used to. I don't really understand why but at least aquaphor heals my lips the exact same way GIAB did previously. I guess since your lips are already healed, they have no need for the barrier to form.

Alesia, I didn't keep the product on my lips for that long. I think the longest time I kept it on was 5 days and the skin underneath the barrier looked really good but I made the mistake of taking it off when it wasn't ready.
Yes, one coat should be enough or two just to be sure. I did reapply quite often but it really made no difference and just wasted the product.

I have the 240ml bottle that I purchased in November or December last year and I still have about a quarter left. 60ml should be enough if you only apply once at a time. I made many mistakes and it cost me a lot of time, so make sure you avoid my mistakes.
