Fibrocystic Breasts and Estrogen Dominance During Iodine Detox

I am a 25 year old female and have been dealing with fibrocystic breasts for the past few years and other symptoms of estrogen dominance (hormonal cystic acne, water retention, hives, general sluggishness) have arisen over the past year or so. Because of this, I have become more aggressive in my supplementation to alleviate these issues as I understand they can be precursors to more serious conditions down the road.

I started taking this molecular Iodine supplement (Violet Iodine) about ten days ago, the day after my period ended. Since then, my fibrocystic symptoms have started about a week earlier than usual in my cycle and they seem more tender and swollen than usual. It almost seems like my period might start early.

I also have been experiencing the more traditional symptoms of Iodine detox: palpitations, jitteryness, dry mouth, anxiety, and insomnia. The palpitations have been pretty much relieved after a few rounds of salt loading, but I still feel a bit anxious and jittery.

As for other supplements, I have been taking DIM for about a month, and though it has not seemed to affect my fibrocystic or other estrogen dominant symptoms as of yet, it has been positively affecting my workouts (feeling stronger, burning fat quicker, better muscle retention). I recently began adding a fiber supplement to my regimen as I realized I was not getting enough from my diet alone.

I also have been taking my usual multivitamin, vitamin C and D supplements, and a magnesium and B6 complex.

My question is: is the Iodine supplement is worsening my fibrocystic and other estrogen dominance symptoms as part of the detox? Or is it possible that the iodine is just legitimately bad for my breasts? That seems contrary to everything I've read, but there isn't a whole lot of information on the subject out there.

It does seem to me like my body is just out of whack because it is finally getting the supplementation it's needed for years and is trying to balance itself out. I guess I am just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience or if there is any additional supplementation I could try to help the process along.
