Converting Family Recipes to More 'Rawish'

For years, I've been bored with cooking. It's not that I don't like cooking, but that I'm strictly cooking for my hubby, and not myself.

For at least 10 years, I've been mostly vegetarian, so I cook meat separately from veggies. That way hubby and I could both eat instead of cooking 2 different meals.

Whenever I get a chance, I ask friends and acquaintances what they regularly cook for supper. I don't ask for the fancy meals, just the ones that they make over and over again. This usually means that they are quick to make (few ingredients), relatively inexpensive, and a whole family likes them.

I have made very few raw meals, because I'm such a plain eater. However, I'm looking for ways to transition my hubby even more. It's quite ok for him to be eating lightly cooked veggies. (He actually would never eat a vegetarian meal, or a meal that wasn't hot. So I can't just un-cook him a raw meal haha I need to transition him slowly...like pulling a band-aid off slowly....)

So I will be asking buddies at least once a week for their recipes. Then I will see if I can convert them to slightly more Rawish.

You are all welcome to post your weekly family 'go to' meal. Maybe we can figure out a 'Rawish' version together :)
