Keep trying! My lips don't peel in the shower anymore, it gets white but doesn't peel or come off. If there's excess white gunk on top, I gently rub it off and below the gunk there's still a strong white layer present. Like Cottonmouth said, I too believe the dermis has rebuilt itself thanks to treating of the inflammation with coconut oil. Now moisture from any other source will help slowly rebuild the other layer and the epidermis. Tweet
