Cat's claw supplements and sterility

I am new to this forum and posting in​ general so please excuse me if I don't use proper etiquette. I. Am. Desperate for information pertaining to Cat's Claw supplements. I have read EVERY page of information I can find online. My question is this, does anyone know the specifics on it's use as birth control? Possible sterility effects? Lasting YEARS!! Temporary infertility etc. I have been taking Now brand Cat's claw for over a year at 500mgx2 twice a day. I started this regimen for inflammation and pain reduction. I researched it before I started and of course like most things it say not to use while pregnant or nursing. A year later I am wanting to get pregnant. So I did some more searching on a whim and discovered it's possible use as a contraceptive. Ok. Fine... Searching further I came across information that says it potentially has sterilising effects lasting 3 or 4 YEARS. Specifically in high doses during your menstrual cycle for three cycles. Not only do I not know what a high dose is but also how long the effects last. I am 39years old and have no question about my fertility,until now. My partner and I have been having unprotected sex for over 5 months and nothing. I am devastated. Have I poisoned my chances?!? Possibly for YEARS. I'm saddened that my attempts to help myself while remaining drug free may have left me ovulating (which I am sure I am physical signs AND ovulation test strips as confirmation) but and I quote "unable to produce a viable oocyte" I have two older children but want another child with my spouse. There just isn't enough definitive information. One fear is that bc cat's claw is used for arthritis, users may be considerably older minimizing the chances that childbearing is an issue. I've read pretty much EVERYTHING available online. Again I'm desperate. Pretty sure my OBGYN won't have any answers either. This is sort of consuming me at the moment. Bad dreams. I'm really really down thinking that I may have done this inadvertently. Again I'm 39 so the possibility that I'm sterile for 4 years is devastating. Thanks so much in advance. Tweet
