My Hair Goal

My hair goal : mostly one length, all natural color, and straight hemline :)

My hair length is 28" (measured from hairline, over top of head, then to the ends).

I'm guessing I have about 4" to grow the length to where I'd like it to be.
However, my layers start at my chin, plus my new growth without highlights is only 4 inches long. This is a really long term goal haha. But since my health has improved so much from detoxing, I believe my hair grows faster than .5" per month. So this will be a fun experiment!

What I love about this style is that the whole length is long enough and heavy enough to stay behind the shoulders. I have always had layers and/or bangs. But I have long suspected, along with many long hair girls, that the thickest hair possible is one length. This is because hair sheds to equalize the length. So for the first time ever, I will see if my hair gets even thicker.

I'm growing out my natural color because of brassiness. Sometimes, with purple conditioner, my highlights look great. But conditioner builds up. I would rather just have fluffy shampooed hair. Chemically treated hair needs constant attention. The hair cuticle looks like lifting shingles on an old roof. The shiniest possible hair is virgin hair. Plus natural hair has more natural moisture, so my waves should show even better.

My natural color is now light neutral brown, I think. It went from light blonde as a kid, to medium blonde up until about 25, then dark blonde by 30. After I got chronic fatigue in my late 30's , it has gotten so much darker. But I'm ok with that. Darker hair will bring out my dark blue eyes. Now, I just have to wait for it to grow!
