Help me! MIRENA COIL REMOVAL SYMPTOMS. please can someone relate or am I going insane?

Hello all, I am at my wits end and sat at my desk in tears wondering if there is anyone in the world dealing with the mirena coil removal side effects and would appreciate it if anyone, anywhere with a similar story could relate.

Basically, I had my Mirena coil removed on (9.1.17) after a year, because of 3 stone weight gain!! (I had all the tests to rule everything out it advance).

Anyway, my period was due around the 15th feb and I came on, on the 13th Feb. Now this was a relief thinking it was all running clockwork, but it seems that today (7th March) I am still bleeding, very very heavily with mega cramps and blood clots bigger than I have ever seen before (Sorry for TMI). I went to the DR yesterday and apart from a 3 day course of blood reduction pills she thinks that my only option is to try the Mini Pill or go back on the COIL!! either way, I am not anemic YET so I am just going to have to suck it up. Today I am in so much pain and I am sick of waking up every morning with my bed and pj's looking like something out of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I am just terrified this is never going to stop. Has anyone had anything similar???
