Re: Oil of Oregano used to brush teeth

I had a sore and bleeding gum surrounding one of my teeth. I tried tetracycline, administered in a powder, applied by my dentist, to no avail. I also took a course of antibiotics by mouth for 10 days, but the problem still persisted. Then I tried Sensodyne toothpaste, and that helped a bit. Finally, I tried a different toothpaste and put a drop of oregano oil on the brush and brushed normally. After about a week the pain and bleeding was reduced by about 50%. I will continue to use the oil/toothpaste until the symptoms completely go away. The side effect of the oil for me is a temporary burning sensation inside the mouth, similar to mouthwash.
