You certainly need to do some calculations as these problems need long term dosing plans, meaning months and could even be years, depending on many things. I live in europe so i cannot go to mexico but if that is the cheaper way, certainly best to do so. For me the cheapest options are the vet meds which i can order also from overseas and they are very much affordable. I have found the horse meds to be of very high quality and they have lots of broad spectrum medicines.
