Yes!!! I had major swelling in my face that initially started in one eye, then moved to the other one until finally my whole face was swollen. Some days were better than others and I kept a four journal, thinking it was related to something that I had eaten. I went to a million different specialists, had lots of blood work and found out one of my liver panels was elevated , plus some elevated markers for an autoimmmune disorder. When they tested me for the actual disorders nothing came up. I'm 5 '4'' and weighed 105 when I began using the mirena. After 6 years I was up to almost 120 and had never weighed more than 108 except when I was pregnant. I was eating nothing to stay at 120 and exercising at least an hour per day hard! Barry's boot camp, running , circuit training, personal training. I felt like I was under water. Severe pitting everywhere. My eyes were so puffy my kids told me they looked like tumours underneath. I became very depressed and read everything I could on nutrition and hidden allergies. Finally, I came across the site about the mirena. It had never even crossed my mind that this little plastic device had anything to do with my symptoms. I yanked it out immediately. I didn't know it would be so easy! Didn't hurt at all. Within two days I dropped 5 pounds of water weight. My eyes are almost back to normal and my face looks 10 years younger. My kids don't recognize me! My husband even noticed the difference and he never notices anything! I have an occuplastic surgeon lined up for my eyes in a couple of months. I'm thinking I won't need to go through with it anymore. Brain fog is gone and energy is back! What a nightmare!!! Tweet
