Amy’s journey into the world of energy medicine and health began at the age of 19, after a virus left her with severe nerve damage in her digestive system. The leading doctors in gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic and University of Chicago Hospital could offer nothing but surgical removal of her large, and possibly much of the small intestine, with no guarantee of successfully restoring bowel function. Unable to accept the prognosis of the conventional medical establishment, and also unable to afford the cost of the operations, she followed the advice of her medical doctor, to travel to Hadley MA to see Dr. Gary Lasneski, a chiropractor with a master's degree in nutrition. After many years of exploring nearly everything conventional, and alternative medicine had to offer, and with the help of Dr. Lasneski, she finally discovered that the elusive answer to her health problem was found within the Nutritional Reflex Technique (NRT). Amy's greatest passion is practicing the work which gave her back her health. She has become skilled in the art of NRT herself and she uses this system to analyze the body's reflexes and energy meridians to detect emotional, toxic, and nutritional stress. Uncovering these obstacles, and helping the body to re-balance using genesis seed remedies and nutrition has allowed her to reach an even greater level of success with her clients. She also specializes in helping people to remove obstacles to health such as avoiding everyday chemical stress, cosmetic and household product consulting, and teaching people how to use food to bring balance into their lives. She loves working with children and families to incorporate healthy meals and recipes into busy schedules. The experience of recovering from a supposedly incurable condition left her with a unique understanding of the body’s healing potential, and a strong desire to share this knowledge with others. Amy is a certified holistic wellness coach, and has been doing nutrition and health counseling at Arts of Health in Cary IL, for over ten years as an associate of Dr. Gordon Scherzer DN, DC.
