I wish I am wrong.
I wish EC is just a punishment from God or devil.
I wish.

But, in over 95% of cases, EC, Exfoliative Cheilitis, is Antibiotics induced disease.

In over 99% of cases, EC, Exfoliative Cheilitis, is caused by something you paid for, Antibiotics , or artificial hormones or some other medications.

You purchased EC at your local drug store. You did not know you are getting EC in a package. You expected something else, but you got EC.

I am talking about the underlying cause. It does not mean everyone who got EC got it within 15 days after discontinuing Antibiotics , it means antibiotics you took any time during your life, including the antibiotics your mother have taken prior or during pregnancy, or after birth, while breastfeeding you ... those antibiotics count too.



Also, all the antibiotics you consumed from eggs, meat, chicken, farm raised animals and farm raised fish count too.

Millions of tons of antibiotics are used every year in an attempt to make farm animals grow faster, get fatty faster, get softer meat, so you as a consumer can get lower price and tastier meat.




If you study medical history and statistics, you will discover that EC was almost non-existent prior to 1950.
Wide spread use of antibiotics started during 1950's and 1960's and later on.



With that came a major epidemic of diseases that were rare or almost non-existent prior to the age of antibiotics.


It is 100% proved that the major part of epidemic of Inflammatory Bowel Disease is antibiotics induced (Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis.)


There is now a huge body of evidence linking hundreds of other chronic diseases to antibiotics, including but not limiting to Clostridium Difficile, Depression, Anxiety, Allergies, Diabetes, Candida Infections, Cancer, Schizophrenia, MS, Parkinson's, liver diseases, spleen disorders, chronic sinus infections, chronic throat infections, etc.


Taking all that into account ... you realize playing with Fluoroquinolones (FQ) equals playing with dynamite, and you also realize that chances of FQ curing something that is commonly caused by FQ and other antibiotics are really poor.



It would be great if Sean could report his health once he/she discontinue use of antibiotics.
