FD - Has everyone ever tried waxing their scalp?

Hi,
First of all, forgive for my English mistakes because I'm not a native English speaker.

I'm suffering from tufted folliculitis. I've tried several treatments, like systemic and topical Antibiotics , Colloidal Silver and so on but nothing works. My scalp is not inflamed, but I have a large area of tufted hair.

I've noticed that when I remove a tufted hair using tweezers there is what looks like sebum at the hair bulb , which is not present in the normal, non-tufted hair. This makes me think that there is an inflammation in the follicle, underneath the skin, that the Antibiotics (topical or systemic) can't reach.

So I was thinking, what would happen if I waxed my scalp and then applied something like Colloidal Silver to treat/avoid the infection? Would it work or make the things worse (scarring/more tufted hair/follicle damage)?

I've tried searching but seems that nobody has tried it (probably because most people with FD have a very inflamed scalp) Tweet
