Re: Question about probiotics and histamine intolerance

I'm not sure how much of a concern that is in your case. Probiotics tend to support whichever immune system response is dominant. By doing the Plan, you're correcting the skewing effect that fungal candida has. It can manipulate the immune system towards a dominant Th2 response, which is associated with greater allergic and histamine responses. This is why we recommend correcting fungal candida first for 6 weeks before taking probiotics.

Another way to put this is that the tests that have been done on probiotics and histamine responses, never restored balance to the gut first. If you look at the rseaerch on probiotics, you'll see that sometimes a strain will support a Th1 response and at other times, a Th2 response. I believe that this si due to whichever response is dominant at the time.
