Stomach or hormone imbalance causIng adrenal issues?

I wanted to ask if anyone else has connected their stomach to their adrenal problems, or if any women have found their hormones to be the cause? My stomach is filled to capacity with rumbling gas 24/7. I look and feel 9 months pregnant all the time. Any food makes it worse. I am eating gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, low carb (carbs make it worse), no caffeine, etc. I am having diarrhea and even after that, burping, etc. and the gas never goes away. I will often wake up in the middle of the night to my heart racing, feeling like I am having an anxiety attack, and an urge to go to the bathroom. My stomach is so loud you can hear it across the room. It seems like the bloating from the gas is causing the adrenaline surges and tachycardia, and I think my hormone imbalances may be causing the stomach problems. Heart tests were normal. I am seeing an adrenal expert next week, but in the meantime I am trying to figure this out. Sometimes going to the bathroom takes the edge off, but usually not. I saw a gastroenterologist this week and he doesn't want to run any invasive tests yet, as like me, he suspects a hormonal cause to all this. He is waiting to see what the hormone tests reveal. I am in the throes of Perimenopause (low progesterone during last testing). Thanks.
