Need some advice, please

Hi! I need some advice. I've been chatting with this guy for weeks. We met in a group about investments. I think I like him. But I don't know him personally. We both used dummy accounts. We are supposed to meet at a seminar but I chickened out the last minute. I'm quite afraid because of this condition. He doesn't know about this. What should I do?
