Mirena IUD - symptoms?

so to begin with i got my mirena iud in when i was only 16 because of how horrible my periods were (super heavy, lasted up to 21 days with only a 14 day break in between) and no other birth control seemed to fix the problem. so we went with that one.
several months ago, when i was struggling with some personal issues i attempted to take out my iud but failed. I remember being able to grab the strings but not keep hold of them long enough to pull it out. a few months later i went to the gyno because i couldnt feel my strings and i wasnt sure if i messed something up. oh and i was also bleeding again. i hadnt had a period in 7 months and all of a sudden i was bleeding heavily again. when i went to the gyno she couldn't feel the strings either but she said it was nothing to worry about.
over the last month ive been having unbearable cramps, ive been puking some and if i dont puke its extreme nausea, im so tired all the time, my lower stomach (abdomen i believe) has been very bloated, and for the last few weeks ive been having more discharge than what i normally have occasionally. i get a lot every day and instead of what it usually is its very stringy and thick. sometimes itll have some blood in it too.
basically i was wondering if anyone had an idea of what could be wrong if anything is wrong.
