Re: Can chia and flax help heal leaky gut?

Flaxseed oil and Chia seeds are not really a good alternative to fish oil because although they contain Omega 3 oils the oils are far less effective and do not really provide enough of DHA. They need conversion to DHA and that can be very limited in some people.

It might be worth you getting some pancreatin and take one capsule along with the oil to speed digestion. I use Now foods pancreatin to speed digestion of protein and fats which I take along with my protein. I use a powdered protein shake to speed up absorption, pea protein which is less reactive and add extra amino acids to replace the ones which are missing from pea protein such as methionine, cysteine etc. These are important to glutathione production.

I used Flaxseed oil for quite some time but as I mentioned, it degrades very quickly and gains a bitter taste which increases with time. I have had some terrible flaxseed oil and returned much of it. I gave up and moved to Omega 3 fish oil which keeps much better and is far more active.

Do you get any autoimmune effects?

@holysin well you ain't getting any better and you are no where near to solving your problems. You cannot live on fruit as your body will not get the protein it needs. You are only making your problems worse!
