Re: What to do about gum recession?

Hi there,

I've noticed my gum recession reversing since I switched to brushing with oils instead of toothpaste. You can do some research on this and decide whether it's right for you and what oils to use, but I ended up using coconut oil as a base, with 6 different essential oils added in: peppermint, spearmint, cinnamon, clove, myrrh, and manuka. From what I've read clove oil is especially effective for gum issues. I dip my toothbrush into the oil and brush gently, ensuring that I focus first on my gum line, then the rest of the tooth. Make sure the oil comes into contact with entire gum line. I've even dipped my floss in the oil before using to make sure it gets right in there. You can google different recipes and experiment to find the right combination of oils for you.

Hopefully this gives you another approach to consider - best of luck to you.
