Heal H with HOT water. Its free! It works! Easy to try at home.
This Hot water treatment heals FAST!
Have had H for around 30 years. Tried most every drug and natural remedy you read about here. And others.
Stumbled upon Herpotherm from Germany. No ship to US. Expensive.
Essentially it heats a small metal disc to 125-127 degree F. And leave it on the sore for 4 seconds.
Since Herpotherm uses only heat, I heated water to 127F, using a meat thermometer to check temp.
Folded a 1/4 of a paper towel into roughly 1" X 1" square several layers thick (cotton ball probably works too).
Dipped paper towel into heated water, soaked up some hot water applied to my sore for 5-10 seconds.
Throw paper towel in toilet and do it again with one more square for 5-10 seconds. Its hot but not too hot.
By using the 127 degree water for 5-10 seconds 5 times a day results in crazy fast healing, pain reduction, swelling reduction in ONE day. Use it for maybe 5 days
It usually takes 4-7 days to get this kind of healing relief in using any other remedy.
After I dry off I spray some $10 CVS generic Pain relieving Antiseptic spray on it. The 0.13 Benzalkonium is the same in Orajel Single Dose Cold Sore Treatment 2 treatments for $20. And it has Lidocaine for pain relief too. CVS generic has at least 100 treatments for $10. A bargain.
I've used the CVS generic alone before and it helps. But hot water treatment is faster!
Herpotherm also sell a similar device for bug bites for almost half the price called Bite Away. Same 127F temp but longer time using a light to heat skin.
Similar bug bite device on Amazon for $13.
Therapik Mosquito Bite Reliever. Same heat. Heat is heat. I ordered one to try.
Herpotherm is expensive for what it does but it is an approved medical device in Germany. See study below
Study:
Application and tolerability of Herpotherm® in the treatment of genital herpes
"Therapy starting point was defined by initial application of the Herpotherm® after physical examination on day 1 (visit 2). Herpotherm® was used either once or several times a day. Treatment (Herpotherm® and virostatic medication) was self-administered until condition had improved, or for about 5 days.
The mode of action of Herpotherm® is based on a local and time-limited thermal stress of a defined skin area, by applying a microprocessor controlled temperature of 51°C–53°C for 4 seconds."
