Yes, you have to find the right things that can work. Intestinal permeability is due to immune action in the gut, likely due to pathogenic involvement.

I started on organic gelatin or some use bone broth which will heal the gut but not kill the infection. The amino acid makeup in the gelatin or broth (which are the same) is glycine and proline which are the aminos that make up the gut lining. Much more healing than glutamine.

Gut permeability will cause big problems, it did for me. I would consider this as well. Remember with any infection, liver toxicity happens and when the liver backs up so does many other things due to toxic overload etc.
