I have a good solution :

Get a Phillips Oral Irrigator EW 1211, and then go to the pharmacy and buy Hydrogen Peroxide 3% or 6%.

And then use the Irrigator to clean the tooth (with warm water) and add perhaps 25% of the HP to the water in the machine.

I have found this to be excellent to clear pain from root canals (I have 2) and it gets the HP deep under the gum, usually relieving pain immediately.

I have also not had a single filling in 5 years, which is a world record for me.

The order of teeth maintenance I use is :

1. floss
2. irrigation
3. brushing (gentle)

(after every meal)

Note : it is important not to use the HP all the time, perhaps once a week is good. This is because it kills good cells as well as bad. Tweet
