Re: Formic/acetic acid induce candida programmed cell death. Dr Jeff?

It's an interesting article about apoptosis and candida and the substances tested. In reading the full paper, I didn't see where it mentioned the exact Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) amounts and wonder if the amounts they determined are attainable in the body. The concept makes sense and is a much better approach than what the medical field currently employs. I still look at the result of killing candida and its ability to secret substances that then kill white blood cells. It would interesting to see if those same substances are present with this approach. That could play a role in the immune system response that many people relate to as die-off.

It's good to see research re-enforcing the use of fatty acids as a much better way to treat fungal candida. Also notable was their identification of high amounts of potassium being present in fungal candida cells, as opposed to yeast cells.

Since yeast cells are known to be beneficial, killing yeast cells may not be the best approach in the long-term. Boost the proper immune response and allow the body to determine what yeast levels are appropriate.
