Plastic
MH and all,
I started drinking out of nothing but glass probably close to 30 yrs ago, not for health, but I could taste the plastic. Storing my distilled water in glass was no problem 10 yrs ago; Id made my tea in glass jars for years for the same reason.
Looking at the crazy health issues in this world today has had me thinking. Sure household chemicals, body care products, processed foods have a lot to do with it, but I was looking and thinking deeper.
Society has us living in plastic bubbles ... laminate that is basically plastics with a little bit of wood and glue ... linoleum ... nylon carpet (a different form of petroleum) ... Formica counter tops (unless you've got rock ones, then there's radon) ... Styrofoam cups (more petroleum) ... polyester clothing, bedding, upholstery (more of the same) ... paints and wallpaper ... even our vehicles are made of plastics today ... insulation in our homes.
We have, what, 300 trillion cells. Each cell has a cell membrane made of lipids/fats. Our brains are something over 50% fat. Our nerve sheathes are lipids. Healthy fats are suppose to line our blood vessels.
Wear and tear on our environment release this crap into the air? We drink out of bpa free water bottles while we breathe our plasic air???
The liver looks at this crap and goes "oh, fat"??? It knows where that could be used. Between this and the transfats, do we need to believe in geo-engineering, and zombie apocalypse? I think the answer is right at home.
In 8 yrs or so I've posted over 3000 articles in Barefooters' Library. I'm only 5 yrs behind in reading newsletters in my email box! But this happens way too often. Last night I was giving this talk on facebook messenger. This morning, I get up, scroll to the bottom email in my box to find this article:
