Re: oil pulling after a molar extraction and bone grafting

Hello, I think it has been awhile since you posted but I am hoping you may somehow get this message. I had a lower molar extracted two days ago. It went wekk, performed by dentist who is holistic minded. I am managing pain with 800mg ibuprofen alternated with 5 mg perkaset every four hours. My question is about infection_ I do not want to use Antibiotics . I did nothing the first two days but I took a few drops of oregano oil under tongue today, also drank about six drops in water. Also took 1/2 tsp Colloidal Silver this morning ( although I don't know how potent since bottle is a fee years old. My question is this... I won't actually do oil pulli g but would it hurt to mix a little oregano oil with coconut oil and just drop it on to the extraction site, or will this some how interfere with the bone grafting material or healing. The site looks pretty good albeit a bit red but I want to be proactive. My dentist prescribed the Antibiotics just in case but she said she was not to concerned as she removes all traces of infection during extraction. My post-extraction care sheet says no pulling or swishing but again I wouldn't do that, I would just put the drops on it and wait a minute or two before letting it drip out of my mouth. Thank in advance for anyone's help.
