OMG help, completely failed garlic enema

Oh my god, help!! Just been for a colonic and tried to finish it with a garlic enema; I've never known anything like it. Almost instantly I was cramping, but also my feet and legs hurt, my whole body felt cold, and I could taste the garlic like I'd just eaten it. It was so painful. I couldn't hold it for more than 30 seconds I don't think. I used 4 small cloves of garlic in 750ml water with 2 drops of clove essential oil.

As I just could not hold it, will it have done anything??!

I've got threadworms and all sorts of things to clear so I can't be beaten by this - when should I try again and what advice do you have for me to make it a bit more successful?
