Re: help! my mysterious body is ruining my life
Whoah there. "if i were u i would have killed myself by then. 7 years is a long time continue to stay strong!!" WHAT KIND OF ADVICE IS THAT?!
There are some people who have struggled for longer than that and finally found a diet that greatly reduced or eliminated their odor. They didn't give up on the 1st, 3rd, or 7th+ year until they found something that worked.
The way to find what works for you is to pick a diet and STRICTLY stick to it for months. Yes, MONTHS. You've had it for 7 years and it's not going to go away in a day, week, or month. If that diet doesn't work, then try another and another until you find something that works. But give a diet a couple of months before switching to another diet.
Once you've been on a diet that seems to work for you, THEN slowly incorporate ONE vegetable/fruit and see how your body reacts to it for 2-3 days. If the odor increases, that food doesn't agree with you. Then try another and test it out for 2-3 days and so on and so forth. Then you'll know your trigger foods, foods that don't cause BO and even some that help reduce/eliminate the BO.
Another VERY IMPORTANT THING, the odor will get worse before it gets better when you first begin a diet. It's probably the body detoxing. OMG, I stunk so bad at the beginning of the diet for weeks but stuck to it no matter what. Why? I saw online how others who were successful with their diets had the same problem.
When I first started with the odor I was embarrassed, humiliated, depressed, angry, and had a why me pity party. I reached a point where I got so mad that I said to myself, ok, I'm trying one of these diets and stick to it no matter what. It's not easy at first because the diets are so restrictive in what we eat. I dealt with my hunger by carrying several salads instead of one and ate them during my breaks and lunch. Avocados and black olives helped suppress my hunger.
You have to get to the point where you've had enough and become angry enough that you're willing to stick to a diet no matter what.
Don't give up, NEVER give up!
