Iodine and Throat pain

Hello -

I supplemented with Iodine for about 10 days but had to stop because of a couple reasons.

The first was because I realized my adrenals were not strong. I realized I had to dial this in first before I ramped up the Iodine therapy.

The other reason though, which is also why i'm writing today is because of the discomfort I started getting in my throat/left thyroid area.

I stopped my Iodine treatment two weeks ago and my throat pain really hasn't lessened.

I started at 2.5mg and got up to 20mg over the the 1.5 weeks of doing it.

This has really got me nervous. I'm fearing that I may have done some kind of damage to my thyroid.

I did get tested for Autoimmune (2 different tests) about 2 weeks prior to iodine treatment and both came back negative.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced the throat discomfort and if you stopped treatment because of it. If so, did the pain eventually improve?

Anything else I can do to help it? Selenium?
