Not worth it. Also, since you do not require a medical degree there is no requirement to see physically ill patients with communicable diseases like tuberculosis. Is there a counselor at your school, or do you know a lawyer you can speak with? You could volunteer to meet that requirement at a nursing home or anywhere that people need counseling. How about observing and helping out an established psychologist. Also psychiatrists usually mainly dispense medicine and don't do much counseling, so they have several psychologists on staff. Also alcohol rehab facilities may qualify if they pretest their residents for disease.
