Feds Drop Case to Close Largest Marijuana Dispensary

A lawsuit against Oakland medical marijuana collective Harborside Health Center, America’s largest medical marijuana dispensary, has been dropped. The dispensary had been caught up in a four-year long litigation over claims that the dispensary had been engaged in “illegal” activity and violated federal drug laws according to a suit filed by attorney Melinda Haag. Though the Federal government did not disclose why they dropped the lawsuit, it is speculated that the decision echoes the changing opinion and perception of marijuana use by the people of California.
