I assume that you're a newbie. This isn't silly, but you probably haven't been here long enough to know about the liquid bandage. This seems like a better method since it doesn't have as many strong chemicals. Also, some men don't like to make their lips shiny all day with Aquaphor.

If EC is allergy related in some cases, something like this will protect lips from the allergen.
